Night Club, Radio Station, Restaurant – Check Out The List Of Businesses Owned by D-Black

Rapper D-Black is famed for many things but did you know he is a well established business man who has his feet in many areas?

Although music does not cut it out for the rapper and he is tagged as one of the worst rappers to ever touch the mic, D-Black is blessed with many businesses.

He has single-handedly helped a couple of musicians break into the scene by signing them unto his record label. Currently, his flagship project is award winning singer S3fa.

Desmond Kwesi Blackmore was born on January 12, 1987 and rose from a humble beginning to an entertainment mogul known by the stage name D-Black.

Check out the list of businesses he owns and operates in Africa and beyond.

1. Black Avenue Muzik (Record Label)

D-Black operates Black Avenue Muzik as the CEO of the record label.

The label can boast of signing acts like Joey B, Freda Rhymz, Dahlin Gage & Wisa Greid who have all benefited from the rapper before terminating their contracts.

Currently, the label has D-Black himself, producer of the year at the 2015 VGMA’s DJ Breezy, Sefa and other acts including Ms. Forson, Osayo & rapper Nina Ricchie, as well as music producer Rony, Turn Me Up signed to it.

2. Black Avenue Clothing

D-Black owns a design company known as Black Avenue Clothing which specializes in marketing and importing men and women apparel. It was founded in 2021.

3. Black Avenue Films/TV

The rapper also have a movie production company which has produced a couple of movies. Notable among them is ‘Why Should I Get Married’ which starred actor John Dumelo(Ghana), Maria Nepembe (Namibia), Princess Shyngle (Gambia), Eya (Ghana), Prince David Osei (Ghana).

4. Livewire Events

Founded in 2015, Livewire Events, an events management company has produced social and corporate events across the country.

Livewire Events in 2015 produced one of Ghana’s biggest Boxing Fights at the Kumasi Sports Stadium between Bukom Banku vs Ayittey Powers with performances from Ghanaian acts Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Efya.

They have also put together festivals including the 2018 Kundum Festival Jam in Axim for the Ministry of Tourism.

5. Club Onyx

D-Black founded a nightclub in the city of Accra, ‘Club Onyx‘. The nightclub is located in Accra in the Cantonments neighborhood across the Presidential residence (Flagstaff House), Club Onyx has hosted numerous of Ghanaian, Nigerian, and South African celebrities.

6. Oasis Lounge

In 2018, D-Black also opened up ‘Oasis Lounge’ a pool, eatery and shisha Lounge located in Cantonments.

7. Enjoyment Radio

The latest business the rapper ventured into this year is a radio station named Enjoyment Radio.

D-Black shared videos and photos of the station and hinted that it is 80% done and will begin test transmission soon.
