Actress Efia Odo set off intense social media laughter after claiming she charges $5,000 per post on her Instagram page.
According to Ms. Odo, she feeds herself from being an influencer and she makes money from that on Instagram.
She said she does not engage in fraud nor ‘ash*wo’ and the way she primarily makes money is through being a brand influencer.
Efia Odo told Halifax Ansah Addo in an interview that she charges $5,000 per ad post on her Instagram page.
That is for each sponsored post, the brand or company she’s promoting pays her $5,000.
That’s when the laughter started flowing.
Efia Odo has 2.5m followers on Instagram. That is impressive.
However, 5,000 United States dollars is Ghc 30,000, or 300million old cedis.
To think that any company out there will pay that for one mention on a D-list actresses’ page is laughable.
Efia Odo did mention that the figure is negotiable, but even starting from there is absurd.
It’s clear Odo said that to chase clout and social media users are tearing her apart for her claim.
One commenter said: “na lie, u dey do ash*wo, i saw u for hôtels hell fire,”
Another added: “Na lie,”
Na lie indeed.
If Efia Odo wanted people to stop thinking she sleeps around for cash, lying about how much she makes in such a manner does nothing but make people more suspicious.
