The Nigerian community in Italy has been thrown into a state of mourning after the gruesome murder of one of their compatriots in the southern European country.
31 year old Rita Amenze was shot multiple times by her Italian husband at her workplace leading to her death.
Inside sources revealed that the deceased woman had initiated divorce proceedings against her husband Pierangelo Pellizzar after their three year old marriage hit the rocks following series of physical and emotional abuse.
Rita Amenze was murdered in front of her mortified colleagues in the parking space of Mf Mushroom, a food company where she worked on Friday morning, September 10, in Noventa Vicentina, a small town in northern Italy.
It was gathered that the 61 year old murder suspect, hid in his car and waited for his estranged wife to arrive at work before swinging into action to carry out that dastard act.
The suspect pounced on her immediately she got out of her car and shot her four times, killing her instantly.
He subsequently escaped from the crime scene in his Jeep car. The vehicle was later traced to his brother’s house where it had been abandoned to elude arrest.
The local police have begun a major manhunt for the suspect who is believed to be dangerously armed with weapons to aid in his escape.

Neighbours have confirmed that the couple had a frosty relationship right from their relationship leading to series of domestic violence against the young woman.
It was gathered that the late Amenze got to Italy Italy in 2017 after a treacherous journey through Libya. It is believed she got married to the Italian man in 2018 in order to get the needed documents to live and work in Europe.
