Fantana’s Grandmother Passes Away After Falling Unconscious At Home

Ghanaian singer Fantana has lost her grandmother after a tragic turn of events.

Mary Afo Toffey, mother of Fantana’s mum Dorcas, passed away September 4th at the Unversity of Ghanamedica Centre (UGMC).

Her age is not readily available.

According to reports, she was home in a building constructed for her by her kids at Tikobo1 when she fell unconscious.

She was rushed to the hospital but the doctor said she died before arrival.

A deaconess in her church, Mary Afo-Toffey was mother of the NDC MP for Jomoro, Dorcas, who blessed Ghanaians with the musician cum slay queen known as Francine Nyanko Koffi aka Fantana.

A special assistant to Honourable Afo Toffey confirmed the news.

“She fell unconscious in the house and was rushed to the hospital which the doctor said she died before her arrival. She had a little sickness which was treated, after that she kept complaining that she wanted to visit her newly built house,”

“The house was built for her by her children at Tikobo1. On Friday, 3rd September, Hon Dorcas Toffey sent her driver to go and bring her to her new house.

“She fell unconscious shortly after she arrived at the house.” the special assistant revealed.

Her body has been deposited at a morgue pending the announcement from the family for her final funeral rites.
