Actress Rachel Oniga, a doyen in the Nigerian movie industry, has finally been laid to rest today after kicking the bucket some weeks ago.
Rachel Oniga died on July 31st after battling a heart-related disease.
Celebrities and colleagues from the entertainment industry in Nigeria paid their last respect to the veteran who has starred in several Nollywood movies.
The final funeral rites and celebration of memory took place in Lagos today, Friday, August 27, 2021.
Veteran actress Rachel Oniga hails from Eku, Delta State, and was born on May 23 1957 in Ebute Metta, Logos.
She began her acting career in 1993 after suffering a divorce.

She worked briefly at Ascoline Nigeria Limited, a Dutch Consultant Company before her first movie titled Onome and her debut Yoruba movie was Owo Blow.
Over the years, Oniga has featured in notable Nigerian films such as Sango, a movie scripted by Wale Ogunyemi, produced and directed by Obafemi Lasode and Wale Adenuga’s television series, Super story.
