Reggie Rockstone has revealed that he was offended by some lines in Sarkodie’s hit song “Issues” which was released years ago and wanted to record a diss track in response because his friends could not see the humor in it.
Years later the Granpapa has realized that it would have been in bad taste to respond to Sarkodie who was only trying to be humorous.
In “Issues” (featuring Mohammed) Sarkodie mentioned a lot of big names in the industry like Bola Ray, K.O.D, DJ Mensah, Abeiku Santana, Kwame Faakye, John Germain, Confidence, Agya Koo, and of course Reggie Rockstone.

He made some lighthearted jokes that no one who listened to the song would take for facts, but Reggie Rockstone’s ego was probably bruised because Sarkodie said he (Reggie) has taken a loan from him (Sarkodie) to put up Rockstone’s Office.
Everyone knows Grandpapa was all set up before Sarkodie found his feet in the industry but according to Reggie, his friends were making a big deal out of Sarkodie’s lines and almost pushed him to do a whole track in response.
“BAD ADVICE CAN BE DEADLY IF U DO NOT THINK SH*T THRU! I WAS THIS CLOSE TO PUTTING OUT A DISS RECORD TO @sarkodie COS I LISTENED TO SUM MY PADEEZ SMH! HE DROPPED AN INNOCENT HUMOROUS LINE ABOUT LENDING ME MONEY AND MY FRIENDS CAME IN MY EAR WITH MUCH SMH CAN U IMAGINE?? #DED”, he tweeted.
In a follow-up tweet, he revealed also that he almost went after hiplife legend Obrafour too for a line he assumed was directed at him.
“GH NEARLY HAD ME AND MY BROTHER @iamobrafour GO AT IT BUT BY THEN I SABI THE WAYS OF MY PPLE WELL WELL HEHEHEHEH!! I NO FLINCH SAF!! HE SAID SUM BOUT A LINE I HAD DROPPED IN ONE! ( I was born with a mic in my hand blah blah) HE SAID “NO ONE WAS BORN WITH A MIC” GH SAY BEEF SMH”.
Looks like the Grandpapa of Hiplife gets emotional sometimes and forgets that the game is the game. Shots get fired and people move on, it is not always that personal.
