A U.S national living in Ghana has revealed that his landlord is abusing him and has reported the matter to the police who are doing virtually nothing about it.
Mr Claude D. Convisser resides in the Sagnarigu Municipality in the Northern Region of Ghana.
According to him, he rented a place some years back and signed a four year lease with his landlord.
However, the landlord, having probably chopped the money and now having a tenant for a few years without getting any new rent money, is now violently trying to evict him.

Mr Convisser says even though his rent is not up, the landlord is trying to move him out.
He claims his Ghanaian landlord has been assaulting and torturing him all in a plot to evict him.
According to him, he has been beaten up about 67 times by the landlord and his cronies and though he has reported to the police numerous times they have done nothing about it.
“They beat me up 67 times. I have reported the beatings to the Northern Regional Ghana police service and the Sagnarigu local station. The police have done nothing about the beating which has left me with broken right ribs and a broken bone on my left hand…” he said.
He also revealed the landlord threatened to take off the house’s roof if he continues to stay in there.
Mr Convisser added that due to the threats to his life and people around him, most of his domestic workers have quit including his security guard and house cleaner.
He says some of his work colleagues have also left the house for their safety.
He, therefore, called on the media to help him get his case to the right people since the police and no one is helping him.
We often hear stories of white people in Ghana abusing locals due to the power they have gained, this seems to be the other side of that coin.

If the landlord has taken money for four years then the tenant must stay for four years, whether the landlord has chopped the money or not.
The police must look into and properly handle this case.
