In the last few days, social media has erupted into conversations surrounding the latest absurdity to come out from the land of unending nonsense and mischievous elders, Ghana.
And the latest is that a group of political leaders (MPs) in cohort with the church have drafted and presented a 36-page bill for consideration in order to criminalize LGBTQ+ activities in Ghana.
Even the President’s favorite person and the man dubbed the unofficial Prime Minister of Ghana-Gabby Otchere-Darko has said he cannot understand this nonsense. He tweeted: “I am struggling to understand what the promoters of this Bill seek to achieve. Perhaps, it is what will fix the myriad of problems we are facing as a country like finding jobs for the youth and fixing our roads.”

The bill, called “The Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values” is as hilarious, insane, and confusing as the meaning of the phrase “Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values.”
The bill conveniently forgets to catch “Slaying, Social Media Insults, Sex for Jobs, Threesome, Licking, Fingering, People Living together when not married or having sex when not married in Ghana—and the all annoying folks, Sapiosexuals,” as these obviously corrupt proper Ghanaian family values too.
The bill, however, could make Osebo real name-Richard Brown’s life a living hell in Ghana—as cross-dressing is somewhat caught by the short arms of the bill. When the bill is passed, and Osebo continues to torment social media with his rib-tickling skirts—he could be arrested and be sent to prison for up to 1 year.
Clause 10(1) the Sam George championed bill states that a person who willfully commits a grossly indecent act commits an offense and is liable, on summary convictions, to a term of imprisonment of not less than 6 months and not more than one year.
Clause 10 (2) defines “grossly indecent act” to include at (c) “intentional cross-dressing to portray that the person is of a gender different from the gender assigned at birth with intent to engage in an act prohibited under this Act.”
This could loosely catch our poor Osebo—so we may in a few months see the end of the Zara Man’s hilarious dressing on social media.
I have read from social media that the bill could somewhat criminalize a man’s sexual delicacy, blowjob, too. I cannot comment on this as I couldn’t read all the gibberish in there.
