Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has denied ever dating television presenter Delay.
Agyeman-Badu says they had fun together as friends but they were never a couple.
The Ghanaian international spoke with Samuel Kumah of Sammy Kay media in a quite lengthy interview.
Badu was asked about rumours that he once dated the Ghanaian broadcaster and entrepreneur, Deloris Frimpong Manso aka Delay.
He denied the accusation flatly.
Agyeman Badu clarified that he had a great relationship with Delay but nothing romantic was involved.
Badu claims they connected about a decade ago when Delay contacted him for an interview on her show.
Following the interview, they kept in touch and became close friends.
Agyeman Badu said their close relationship led to them even exchanging cars at a point.
Badu reveals he had to travel home to the Brong Ahafo region at a time when his car was at the mechanics shop so he took Delay’s car instead and she took his after it was repaired.
Agyeman Badu added that he believes that’s where the rumours come from – probably someone saw Delay driving around in his customised car.
He also revealed that because Delay spoke basic Italian they sometimes exchanged greetings in Italian including calling each other ‘mi amore’ (my love).

In the video, he also said he used to visit her alone at home to eat fufu.
So they call each other ‘my love’, are comfortable enough to exchange cars and spend time alone at home but they’re not dating?
This must be like the football age issue – everyone knows the truth but we’ll pretend we don’t know.
