He still has family in Ghana and visits frequently but that is not why our musicians are chasing him.

Vic Mensa has become the industry’s favorite for an international feature because of two major reasons.

First, the Ghanaian-born American rapper is signed to Roc Nation, a record label owned by Music Icon Jay Z and he has direct contact with the hip hop star.

The second reason is the young rapper has been nominated a couple of times at the prestigious GRAMMY Awards and knows all the tricks there is to win one.

These two are the obvious reasons why acts like Sarkodie, M.anifest and Stonebwoy will knock on doors of Vic Mensa for a feature–besides his rap skills and melodic hooks.
