‘Add More To the Salaries Of Presidential Spouses, It Is Too Small’ – A Plus Says

Famous Ghanaian media personality, Kwame Asare Obeng aka Kwame A Plus has shared his thoughts about the government’s decision to pay salaries to the spouses of Presidents and Vice monthly.

Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah made this news public and stated that Parliament had already approved the decision to pay the first and second lady of the country 21,000 cedis monthly salary.

He also indicated that the salary, which has been described as an insult to the public, will be backdated to 2017.

Ghanaians heavily descended on the government for taking the initiative of paying the first lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo and second lady, Samira Bawumia some monies every month.

The news received a lot of criticism as the public questioned if there were no important economic developments those monies could be used for instead feeding the bellies of Wives of politicians who do nothing.

A Plus Shared a different opinion on the topic that is being discussed publicly.

According to Kwame A Plus, more money should be added to the GHc21,000 stipulated as salaries for Presidential spouses because that money is too small to satisfy them.

The controversial individual wrote; “The first lady’s salary is too small. They have to add some!!!”

Nana Kweku Gentle – I quite remember when one member of parliament proposed that government should take part of tuition fees for tertiary students during the covid-19 strike, the Mp’s turned down that proposal because the economy was broke but today the same people have approved first and second lady on a payroll and still looking forward to approve $28 million loan to acquire Land cruiser for 275 Mps.
We should keep on support/defend /hype these greedy people who are only for themselves.😢

Veronica De-souza – The way Parliamentarians quickly approved the salary for the first and second lady, don’t be surprise that very soon they are also going to approved for their wives as well.

Nicholas Stan – Yes they should deduct the second lady’s own and add to the first lady cos the second lady will waste it on makeups and kaba and slit, whiles the first lady uses hers for building maternity blocks and other facilities which will be of good use to the citizens.
