‘Deeply Saddened’ – Akufo-Addo Finally Wakes from his Sleep and Reacts to Ejura Murders

Your President is finally awake, he says he is deeply saddened by the deaths of a fix the country activist and two other people in Ejura Sekyeredumase.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, two full days after news of Kaaka’s death and another 24 hours after protesters were killed, has finally found his speechwriter to put something together for him.

And it is the usual nonsense of vague promises and no-action.

The statement from the Presidency directs the Interior Minister to set up a public inquiry into what happened and offer solutions on how to handle it.

“The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has instructed the Minister of the Interior, Hon Ambrose Dery, MP, to conduct, forthwith, a Public Inquiry into the circumstances that led to the unfortunate occurences of Tuesday, 29th June 2021,” the statement read.

“The Interior Minister is to provide a detailed report from the Inquiry , with recommendations for appropriate action, within ten days, ie, by 9th July 2021, to President Akufo-Addo,” it added.

The President, upon all the money we pay him to run this country, does not know what to do when an activist is murdered in cold blood and bloodthirsty soldiers shoot civilians, also in cold blood.

The only thing he can do is to buy time with a useless request for a 10-day inquiry, knowing full well by 9th July the issue would be dead.

The President also expressed empty condolences with the families of those killed.

“The President is deeply saddened by the deaths of Ibrahim Mohammed, alias ‘Kaaka’, Abdul Nasir Yusuf and Murtala Mohammed. He extends sincere condolences to the families of the deceased, and wishes the injured a speedy recovery,”

There is no condemnation of the mob attack which killed ‘Kaaka’, no condemnation of police attacking protesters with live bullets and no reiteration that Ghana is a free society where people can criticise the government without fear and protest without being killed.

That tells all you need to know about the tyrant Akufo-Addo.
