Two Ghanaian celebrities are crying out about being duped by an online shop selling clothes with pay before delivery scam.
Often you hear people complaining about being scammed when trying to purchase items online – it seems celebrities themselves are not exempt.
GhOne TV host Barikisu has revealed that an IG ghost page made off with close to Ghc 1,000 of her money she had paid for delivery of an item.
Barikusu paid money to the page after seeing a swing chair she really liked on Instagram.

The page has been identified as Ringlight store with the handle @_ringlight.store.
Barikisu made an order of the chair she liked and was told to pay before delivery.
She tried to refuse to do so but the page admin said that was the only way they could make the delivery.
Out of whatever need she had, she agreed to pay beforehand.
That is when the scam got her. The page did not deliver the dress and now her money is gone for free.
Barikisu run to the blogger Nkonkonsa to complain about being duped.
Another Ghanaian celebrity to have fallen for the same scam is Despite Media’s Maame Yaa Konamah.
In comments underneath the post, many Ghanaians also cried out over being duped.
When dealing with online shopping, unless it’s a verified company like Jumia, it’s best not to pay anything before delivery.
You have no idea who is on the other side of the transaction and once your money leaves your phone, it’s gone forever.
We know our useless telcos won’t help you get your money back, so better safe than sorry.
If the shop insists on you paying before delivery, you can walk away, the internet is a big place!
You can find whatever you’re looking for if you search just hard enough.
