The Ghana Police service have reportedly arrested and detained three young men brandishing guns in a viral video.
Earlier this week, a video popped up on social media where some young men were seen holding assault rifles and threatening an unknown individual.
This video surfaced few hours after the tragic death of a police man in a daylight bullion van robbery on the Korle-Be road in Accra.
Their video drew a lot of comments and many called for their arrest for causing fear and panic and also brandishing fire arms in public.
That call forced the men to record another video clearing their names that they are not criminals as perceived but are security officers paid to guard a mining site in Upper west Region of Ghana.
They went on the invoke curses on bloggers and media houses reporting that they are criminals and should be jailed.
In a recent development, it has been alleged that the Obuasi Police has arrested and detained three of the young men seen in the video with one said to be hiding in the Northern Region.
The reports circulating added that a pump-action gun with five blank cartridges were retrieved from them.
The tree were arrest at Gausu, a suburb in Obuasi. Names given out as the suspects detained were Rev. Alfred Dakorah,43, Founder of God’s Time Ministry, Emmanuel Darkorah,26, and Richard Suleman aged 28.
