Two thieves have been caught trying to rob residents in Dansoman and been given the beating of their lives.
The two were cornered by a very angry mob who attacked them with weapons.
Video of their beating has hit social media.
In the video, some Dansoman residents are seen with weapons such as a plank of wood inflicting maximum damage on the thieves.

One guy hit the legs of one of the suspected thieves, sending him to the floor in crippling pain.
The two guys could be heard begging for mercy in the video but the mob was in no mood to forgive.
It’s not clear how the two were captured and what convinced the mob that they are there to steal.
Two motorcycles were clearly visible in the video and they could have belonged to the suspects.

‘Okadas’ have become prominent tools of crime in the country recently due to the easy way they are able to beat traffic.
Armed robbers attacked a bullion van carrying cash on Tuesday, June 15th, killing a police officer guarding the van and making away with an unspecified amount of cash.
The robbers used motorcycles in their crime.
A pregnant woman in the area was also killed by the robbers for raising an alarm during the robbery.
News of harrowing crimes has taken over the news recently so it’s not shocking to see why Dansoman residents felt the need to take the law into their own hands.
Mob justice is too dangerous though – the police must tackle the rising crime or more of such situations will arise.
