Fix The Country Protest Back On After Supreme Court Victory

The Supreme Court has quashed the inunction against the Fix the Country demonstration which was put in place by the Accra High Court.

In a ruling handed down today, June 8th 2021, the court set aside the injunction from the High Court and ordered the protest to go ahead.

Organizers of the protest can now fix a date for the demonstration.

At the height of the fix the country protests, a demo was organized for May 9th but was set aside by the Accra High Court.

The police went to seek an indefinite injunction against the demonstration which was granted by the High Court in the lead up to May 9th.

The Supreme court desicion puts the protest back on, but it risks having already lost momentum in the eyes of the populace.
