An Indian family decided not to let all the preparation they have made for a traditional marriage go to waste after the bride to have mysteriously died.
They decided to go ahead with the wedding by allowing the groom marry the sister of the bride, who would have been his sister-in-law.

According to News 18, Surabhi and Mangesh Kumar were tying the knot in a Hindu ceremony but during the exchange of garlands, Surabhi collapsed.
On the doctor’s arrival, he pronounced her dead, attributing her death to too much excitement mixed with stress that her heart suffered an attack which led to her sudden death.
An uncle of Surabhi whose name has been given as Ajab Singh in an interview with IANS news agency that the family decided to continue with the marriage.
He says that it was a difficult decision to make but they had to allow the groom marry Surabhi’s younger sister Nisha.
He painfully said;
“One daughter lay dead in one room and the wedding of another daughter was being solemnized in the other room. We have never witnessed such mixed emotions.
“The grief over her death and the happiness of the wedding have yet to sink in.”
