President Akufo-Addo’s brother, Edward Akufo-Addo has sued Class Media for defamation, demanding GHC 10m charges.
Edward Akufo-Addo, Managing Director of Amaadi Cold Store Limited has dragged Class FM to court following claims that he uses the Presidential Jet because of his relationship with the President.

The suit names Class Media as 1st defendant and their radio show host, Kwabena Bobbie as the 2nd defendant.
Other defendants include; Mensah Thompson, the Executive Director of Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability and the 4th defendant is Listowell Nana Kusi-Poku, the Executive Director of Good Governance And Advocacy Group Ghana.
The 3rd and 4th defendants are reported to have aided and encouraged the 2nd defendant during the program to make malicious statements against the plaintiff regarding his unauthorised use of The Falcon.

Apart from the GHC 10m changes, the plaintiff is also demanding an apology from the defendants and also a restraining order to prevent them from further denting his reputation.
The Presidential jet known as The Falcon is a state own property which is used by the President and other government official for national and international assignment.
