A former Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, Prof Frimpong Boateng, has won a defamation case against Captain Smart.
Boateng took the former Angel Fm presenter to court for alleging that he was engaged in galamsey whilst working as chair of the Inter-Ministerial Committee against Illegal Mining.
He alleged the comments were made in a Whatsapp group known as ‘Kill Corruption’ administered by Smart.
He also claims to have been called ‘greedy’ in the group chats.
He took Smart to court in February this year and has now won a judgement against him for Ghc 1m.

Captain Smart has made a name for himself as an anti-corruption crusader and was recently suspended from Angel Fm allegedly for attacking the government over its corrupt dealings.
