Renowned Ghanaian broadcast journalist, Shamima Muslim, has called on the Christian Council and the Methodist Church to stop acting so superior about Christianity.
Muslim is reacting to recent news that Wesley Girls High School refused to let Muslim students fast during the Ramadan.
After an uproar emerged over the issue, the Methodist Church, which built the school, and the Christian Council all threw their support behind the school in their decision to deny the Muslim students practice their religious freedom.

Their intolerant stance has led to harsh criticism of the church and how they are promoting intolerance.
Shamima, who used to work with Citi Fm and Metro TV and currently heads the Alliance for Women in Media Africa (AWMA), says that the church should relax and stop feeling so superior because both Christians and Muslims are practicing borrowed religions.
“This is a borrowed religion, by happenstance you happen to have numbers, not because of any special conferment of any special status on you, so that ought to give you more of a position of humility,” she told Berla Mundi in an interview.
Shamima called for Christian discrimination against Muslim students to cease.
