One of the Rastafarian students denied admission into Achimota School, Tyrone Iras Marghuy, has revealed that he has to watch his sisters attend school every day whilst his case remains in court.
Tyrone says he feels very sad having to stay home whilst his siblings receive an education, but he’s confident that the case would soon be properly adjudicated and his family would win.

Tyrone was one of two students denied admission into Achimota School due to their dreadlocks.
The school insists they have to barber their hair as part of the school rules, but they are seeking a religious exception to allow them keep their hair.
The case is currently in court.
Meanwhile, Tyrone, who’s a triplet, has to watch his two sisters, also Rastafarians, attend school everyday at St John’s Grammar. They are being allowed to keep their hair and school.
