5 Gee Man and Jagger P
Popular Ghanaian musician Nana Akwasi Agyeman aka G-Man and actor Abeiku Nyame aka Jagger Pee both served time in jail for murder.
G-man shot a taxi driver in 1995 during an argument. He was sentenced to death whilst Jagger Pee, who was with him at the time, also received a jail sentence for being an accomplince.
Jagger Pee was released on appeal in 1997 but G-Man stayed in jail awaiting his execution until former President Kuffour pardoned him in 2009.
6 Ramzy (Stars of the Future)
Ramzy Amui, former star of the Reality singing competition Stars of the Future, rose to prominence in 2009 after placing 2nd in the first edition behind Irene Logan and ahead of Jane (Efya) in 3rd.
Ramzy’s career was however cut short when he was sentenced to 10 years in prison with hard labour for armed robbery.
He was released in 2017 and is now a gospel singer.
7 Isaac Abeiku Aidoo (Goodies)
Goodies Music boss Isaac Abeiku Aidoo received a 13 year jail sentence for attempting to export cocaine to London.
He was released in 2014.
