Ras Mubarak, former Member of Parliament of Kumbungu, has disclosed that there is absolutely nothing wrong if one decides to marry his/her cousin.

In the words of Ras Mubarak, it is not incest marrying and starting a family with a cousin. According to him, it only becomes incest if the person you are marrying is a direct family member.

The former MP speaking to Nana Aba Anamoah confirmed that his current marriage is to his cousin, Huseina Mubarak and their family approved the relationship.

Huseina Mubarak, the current wife of Ras Mubarak is the daughter of Muntaka Mubarak and Hon. Muntaka is Uncle to Ras Mubarak making them direct cousins.

Nana Aba could not believe her ears when Ras Mubarak made that statement.

“How are u married to your cousin, isn’t that incest…?” She quizzed and Ras answered; “My goodness, that is no incest. Incest is when you are marrying your direct sibling.”
