The ex-wife of former National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak, has come out to drop bombshell allegations of domestic violence against him.
According to Rasheeda Adams, she suffered ‘full scale beatings’ from the ex lawmaker for years before deciding to leave him.
She took to social media to cry out about the courage she took to leave Mubarak in the wake of stories of women dying from domestic abuse.
According to her, when she tried to leave due to abuse people hit out at her instead. Some wondered why she was leaving a ‘whole’ MP whilst others said she cannot leave a marriage over a ‘few slaps’.
According to her, she had the courage to leave and encouraged other women to also leave if they’re being abused.
After reading the allegations, Mubarak has hit back with his own version of events.
He says he never touched her even once and put all their marital problems on her neck.
