The driver of the car which was involved in the accident which unfortunately led to the demise of dancehall goddess Ebony Reigns, Okoh Pinehas Chartey, was driving with an expired licence.
This was revealed in court by prosecutors as Okoh faces charges related to the death of the dancehall star and two others.
Okoh was driving the car which led to the death of Ebony in 2018. The dancehall star died alongside Franklina Maame Yaa Nkansah aka Franky Kuri and Lance Corporal Vondee Atsu Francis.

According to the narration of police, Okoh was driving a Jeep with registration number AS-497-16 on that fateful night of February 8th 2018.
Around 11:45pm, he got to a spot between Nyamebekyere and Nsuta on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway.
There was a heap of sand on the road and in attempting to swerve and avoid it, he ran into some railings at the edge of the road which unfortunately killed all onboard except him.
Okoh was rushed to hospital where he survived.
He’s being charged with dangerous driving and driving without license. Police say at the time of the accident he had not renewed his license in 3 years.
Okoh would reappear in court March 24th.
