Black Stars skipper Andre Dede Ayew has spoken out against former teammate Michael Essien as he finally gives his thoughts on the issue of LGBT rights in Ghana.
Ayew, unlike Essien, has condemned the practice and shown no empathy for gays.
Ayew expressed disapproval for celebrities and famous people who have endorsed the practice in Ghana.
“They should remember that we got many rights but not all are good to practice and in this world, positive matches negative to produce something so if negative can’t match negative, don’t support it,” he’s reported to have said.
Ayew’s comments come after Michael Essien firmly declared his support for LGBT rights in Ghana.
He posted on social media that he supports their struggle, but he later took it down after a huge public backlash.
