A sad video surfaced on the internet earlier today where 12 bodies were retrieved from the Apam beach where some 20 teenagers drowned on Sunday.
Rumor has it that the number of teens who drowned surpasses what is being reported by the district police command.
According to reports, a heavy tidal wave washed the kids away when they were swimming and very few survived the wave. The rest were not so lucky and their mortal remains were found the next day.
The Apam District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mr. Moses Osakonor confirmed that two of the children who were rescued were receiving treatment at the St Luke Catholic Hospital at Apam, and assisting the police in their investigations.
