President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has retired and ordered the Auditor-General Daniel Yao Domelevo out of his office earlier today, news sources reveal.

The source quoted the president to have said that, Mr. Daniel has retired and therefore does not need to remain in office hence his decision to send him home.

A statement dated March 3, 2021, from the office of the President Akufo-Addo via his secretary Nana Bediatuo stated that Mr. Domelevo was due for retirement because he was over 60 years old.

H.E however, expressed his greatest gratitude to the retired Auditor General for his massive contribution and service to the nation.

He also indicated that a substantive replacement for him will be appointed in no time to fill the vacuum.
