A Ghanaian man living in Canada known as Michael Oppong Berchie has been killed in a shooting, police have revealed.
Berchie was gunned down in the streets of Toronto by unknown gunmen.
According to reports, the incident occured on the 8th of February.
Police records show that two suspects dressed in dark clothing gunned down the Ghanaian and then fled the scene.
Oppong was in a vehicle with another person during the shooting. He suffered gunshot wounds and was rushed to a trauma centre but was unfortunately already dead.
“Two suspects described as being in all dark clothing were observed fleeing the scene in the suspect vehicle, which is described as a light-colored four-door compact SUV. It was last seen travelling westbound Lawrence Avenue West and then southbound Dufferin Street,” Toronto Police said.
There has reportedly been a rise in crime despite restrictions put in place due to the COVID pandemic.

Homicides and kidnappings have reportedly risen in Toronto despite the lockdown, baffling police.
