Becca’s Mother Burial to Take Place in London on Saturday-February 20

The remains of Ms Julie Yiadom Oti, the mother of Ghanaian musician-Becca who died in London on Thursday, 07 January 2021 after a short illness, will be buried on Saturday 20 February 2021.

Family sources have told GhanaCelebrities.Com that the burial attendance has been restricted to close family members because of the existing COVID-19 restrictions.

It’s however unclear if Becca would attend the burial—because of her estranged relationship with her mother which was the same even at the time of her death.

Becca’s mother made headlines after an exclusive interview she granted to the Founding Editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com-Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri, detailing how sour her relationship with her daughter has become since her marriage to her Nigerian husband.

We are told, nothing had changed even at the time of Ms Julie Yiadom Oti’s death.

The singer after receiving several backlashes from the public for keeping quiet over her mother’s death when it took place asked the public to respect their privacy and not bother the family during this time in a message that came several hours late.

She wrote on Instagram:

“One of the darkest days of my life.
I just lost My mom… Madam Julie Oti following a very brief illness.
This shock and pain is unbearable and the family would like to beg for understanding and respect of our privacy during this difficult time to mourn.”
