Nigerian singer/songwriter Wizkid has pulled out of a concert he was billed to perform alongside his rival Davido and other international acts.
Wizkid’s management explained that they cannot perform at the virtual concert due to the effect of the COVID-19 on their team.
They stated that unlike other artists billed to perform, Wizkid is not closer to his band and cannot fly them over to his location because of the COVID restrictions.
Tiny Desk, an international platform booked Wizkid, Davido, and other international artists to have a virtual concert. The concert is centered on celebrating the month of ‘Black History’ and artists were expected to perform in their comfort zones.
