The government of Ghana has ordered that COVID-19 tests for all Ghanaians be made free, effective immediately.
A directive from the Ministry of Health directs all public testing facilities to conduct the test free of charge for any Ghanaian who walks in for one.
The only people to be chrged for testing under this new regime are travelers.
The price of COVID tests have been steadily climbing up, so this measure makes a lot of sense.
Anyone who feel they’ve been exposed to the virus can now easily go for a test, instead of hiding it due to fear of not being able to afford the exorbitant charges!
