Mahama And NDC Embarassed As Bagbin Fails To Attend Their Party To Celebrate Speaker Of Parliament Victory

What was supposed to be a party to celebrate the Party’s unexpected success in the Speaker of Parliament election, turned into morale deflating event as the man in whose honor the party was being held, failed to attend.

Mr. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, a man revered by all sides of the political divide, chose to turn down an invitation to attend a party organized by his own people, obviously for Statesmanship reasons.

The NDC, who claims to have a working majority in parliament, though official numbers do not actually support the assertion, organized a party just a day after Bagbin’s election as Speaker, probably to gloat at their friends on the other side.

It is pretty much unclear why Mr Bagbin refused to grace his Party’s event, however, this portal understands that he sent a representative in his stead.

The Party was graced by NDC big wigs including their 2020 flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.
