Ghanaians were treated to a full course of comedy and tragedy on the night of January 6th 2021 as the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic convened for the first time.
Instead of watching an orderly process with adults utilizing their brains – afterall these are the 275 duly elected Members of Parliament of the country – we had to watch shameless and childish antics which made it clear that our leaders are as daft as any Ghanaian citizen walking in the streets.
What we saw Wednesday night made it clear that there is no difference between Kofi Boadu who is ready to commit violence because his party lost an election and a Member of Parliament.
No difference!
The process of electing a new speaker was chaotic and far from orderly. At a point the NPP’s Carlos Ahenkorah, smelling trouble for his party, tried to snatch a ballot box and run and was caught and violently ‘disciplined’.
Parliament House, one of the three seats of power in the country, became like a nursery daycare centre, with children running around causing havoc and no one able to stop them.
It’s a national disgrace and one Ghana is not going to get over anytime soon.
These disgraceful beings are those running this country – and oh, remember, we’re supposed to use our taxpayer money to give them Ghc 600,000 each as ex-gratia.
Affter watching this disgusting spectacle, let me hear one more ‘fellow Ghanaian’ trying to get me to vote for any political party or figure – I would also show them that I can fight like an MP.
Seriously, Ghana is doomed looking at our leadership. If you get the chance – RUN!
