He has just been sworn in as the speaker for the 8th Parliament of the Fourth Republic.

This means that he has overthrown the former speaker, Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye.
The election for the speaker reportedly started a few minutes after 12 midnight and carried on through out the night.
We have all seen the display of violence and turmoil that the house suffered from these men, the very people we call honorable who were simply to cast their votes.
After all that shameless display, Alban emerged as the winner and has been sworn in.
Congratulations are in order!
