“Go To The Supreme Court If You Feel Cheated” – Jean Mensah Says

Head of the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana, Madam Jean Mensah has directed all political parties not satisfied with the election results to head to court and seek redress.

The NDC, in particular, has been challenging results from the just ended Presidential and Parliamentary election indicating that they will not accept the results.

John Mahama said in a press briefing that the NDC has contracted lawyers and other personalities to prove they were robbed in the general election.

Reacting to the current unrest, Jean Mensah said in a statement; “The Electoral Commission is aware of contests to some parliamentary seats by both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress in a number of constituencies. We entreat the political parties to use the laid-down processes established by law to seek redress to their concerns”.
