The first daughter of late President Jerry John Rawlings, Dr. Zanetor Rawlings retained her seat in the Korle-Klottey Constituency in the Parliamentary election last Monday.
She won the race by pulling 39,343 votes as compared to her opponent who got 31,154 votes.

In her victory speech, Dr. Zanetor got emotional and wished his father, who died few months ago, was alive to join her celebrate.
She told the press that it was a mixed feeling and she could not explain the state she was in at that moment, if to cry or to rejoice.

“It is a mixture of feelings. I wish my dad was here but such is life”.
“I believe that NDC will win both the presidential and parliamentary elections in Klottey Korle. We are really setting the records straight so that it changes from being a swing constituency to an NDC seat.”
