Residents of Whindo in the Kwesimintim constituency in the Western region staged a protest today and refused to let the electoral commission access polling stations.
Reports from eyewitness say they blocked the roads with burnt car tyres to halt the voting process and protest against the poor nature of their roads.

It was reported that in July 2020, the residents warned that they will not partake in the Presidential and Parliamentary election come December 7 if their roads are not fixed.
According to reports, the EC officials were allowed access when military and Police personnel arrived at the scene to restore law and order.

Over 17 million voters are expected to partake in the polls today Monday, December 7, 2020 to elect a President and 275 Parliamentarians.
