American rapper Lil Wayne faces 10 years in jail after being charged with illegal possession of a firearm.

Lil Wayne, a convicted felon, is barred from possessing a firearm, but was reportedly busted by law enforcement with a gold-plated handgun back in 2019.

According to TMZ this puts him in legal jeopardy.

The tabloid reports the rapper has been charged with 1 count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.

The charge stems from a December 2019 search carried out on a private jet of the rapper in Florida. Investigators reportedly found ‘guns and drugs’ on the plane including the gold-plated pistol.

As a convicted felon, Weezy is breaking the law by possessing a gun.

He’s reportedly set to appear in court next month.
