Stephen Atubiga Insensitively Slams Nana Konadu for Informing Akufo-Addo of Rawlings’ Death Before NDC Leaders

NDC Communication team member Stephen Atubiga is facing online backlash after making a very insensitive statement over the passing of former President Rawlings.

According to him, the family of former President Rawlings should have informed NDC elders first before visiting the President to inform him.

His political statement over the death of Rawlings has been widely criticized as insensitive, senseless and needless at such a time, not to talk of petty.

What does it matter if the family of Rawlings informed NDC or NPP first about his death? Does that change anything about who Rawlings was as a person?

If because of this NDC will say they won’t celebrate their founder then that is patently stupid.

Atubiga’s statement isn’t only insensitive and poorly timed but it’s literally useless – it contributes nothing to how Rawlings would be celebrated and remembered.
