One of the sad scenes taking root in Ghana entertainment industry is top acts who entertained Ghanaians in their prime resulting to begging or minimal jobs to survive.

In the early 2000s, Jay D was a name to reckon with in the hiplife music in Ghana. His song Alanpan was a monster hit and he toured around the country making money and entertaining fans.

Barely 20 years down the line, Jay D is as broke as a church mouse and spotted selling on the streets of Accra to make a living.

The once upon a time superstar was spotted in a viral video at Rawlings Park in Accra selling skipping ropes as means to earn a living.

Jay D was engaged in a short conversation by a presenter in the video on why he was on the streets selling skipping ropes while his colleagues are still active in the music industry.

He was also asked to list his top 5 rapper in the new school musicians and he gave an interesting list.

Jay D refused to accept the fact that he was out of the music industry but claimed he was waiting for the right time to drop another banger like Alanpan. Watch him speak in the video below.
