Sad news reaching us today confirms the death of former president JJ Rawlings.

According to reports, he died this morning at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital here in Accra after suffering a short illness.
Further revelation has speculated that he was actually been on admission to the hospital for a week now and was being treated for Covid-19.

There have been sad reactions all over and the latest is from sitting president Nana Addo.
In a press statement, he expresses his condolences to the bereaved family declaring a 7 days national mourning to honor the late Rawlings.
He says campaign would be on hold during these seven days.
