Sarkodie in return begged the President not to go head over heels on the song because it was not sang for him. He cleared the air that he never mentioned the NPP and as such they should not use the song for politics.
In a related story, Kuami Eugene has denied knwledge that the Happy Day song was a political song for the NPP. He claims Sarkodie tricked him in thinking the song was a motivational song.
“I am uncomfortable, I still don’t know Sarkodie’s motive for the song. The endorsement will have an effect on my career. I wasn’t ready to vouch for any political party openly. I know it will not end here” – Kuami Eugene told MzGee.
