Actor turned politician John Dumelo has apologized for his comments inciting election violence amongst the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon.
Dumelo says he is a ‘man of peace’ and apologizes for inciting violence with his words.
”I’m whole heartedly sorry for my comments in the said video. I’m a man of peace and will always promote peace. Let’s make Ghana and Ayawaso West a better place,” he tweeted today.

Dumelo shockingly endorsed election violence in a video of him which went viral.
John Dumelo was heard in the video telling his party members that they are no longer going to hold their peace or leave the fight to God. They must match boot for boot any member of the NPP that will try to steal votes.
He said during a campaign rally that he is informed the NPP is scheming to use foul means to win the elections and they will not allow that happen.

“This time we won’t say let’s leave it to God to handle, we must deal with the people ourselves”, the actor said.
Dumelo is facing incumbent NPP MP Lydia Alhassan for the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections.
