Tiwa told BBNaija host Ebuka on Bounce Radio that she suffered serious trauma from bullies in London as a kid and it impacted negatively on her.
She said she moved to London with her mother when she was 10-years-old and her strong Nigerian accent was a subject of ridicule in her school and neighborhood.

“I was teased so bad. They used to call me ‘African girl’, ‘Foo foo’, ‘Your food smells’ and so on. It was terrible. It was so bad that I literally tried to kill myself two times. I was really depressed,” Tiwa said.
