Public figure and Senior Partner of Accra-based corporate law firm, Africa Legal Asociates (ALA), Gabby Otchere-Darko has won a defamatory suit against loudmouth journalist Kelvin Taylor.

Kelvin Taylor was slapped with a ¢1 million defamatory suit at an Accra High Court (Commercial Court 10) and ordered to pay.

The self-styled journalist made claims linking Gabby Otchere-Darko to the terminated Power Distribution Service (PDS) deal.

He alleged on his “With All Due Respect Show” that that Mr. Otchere-Darko had financially benefited from the contract since he rendered legal consultancy on the transaction.

Mr. Kevin Taylor also alleged that Mr Gabby bought property in Mayfair, London (United Kingdom) with proceeds from PDS or a similar transaction of a questionable nature.

During the proceedings, Mr Taylor neither entered appearance nor filed a statement of defense to substantiate all his allegations.

Justice Jennifer Dadzie said that Mr. Kevin Taylor had, without any basis, whatsoever, made very serious defamatory comments against Mr. Gabby Otchere-Darko.

The court made it known that full judgment on the matter will be made available on Tuesday, 3 November 2020.
