Asamoah Gyan Signs $1M Deal With Legon Cities After Black Stars Disappointment

Asamoah Gyan, former captain of Ghana National team, has signed a four-year deal with Ghanaian Premier League team Legon Cities.

The footballer has been without a team since January 2020 and according to reports sighted in local news portals, Gyan agreed to play for Legon Cities after Asante Kotoko failed to meet his terms.

Rumor has it that the four-year contract will see some $1 million in Asamoah Gyan’s pocket, record breaking transfer in the local league.

This transfer will be the first time the 34 year old player will be returning to the local league after leaving Liberty Professionals 17 years ago.

As part of the deal, Gyan has asked the Ghana Premier League side to sign teenage sensation Mathew Cudjoe who has played last season for Kotoko on loan.
