Adu Safowaa has spoken up for the first time after news went viral that she had been arrested and detained for 48 hours.

According to the tv broadcaster and former face of the Adonko Bitters advertising campaign, it’s false that she was detained for two days.

Safowaa admits that she was detained by police but said it was only for a short while.

She posted a screenshot of the story that she was in custody for 2 days and said it was not true.

Taking to Instagram she said she was on TV Wednesday night and shot a program on Thursday so she could not have been in custody for 48hrs.

As we reported, Adu Safowaa was picked by police after Stacy Amoateng reported her for defamation,

The case is expected to be heard in court on October 29th.
