‘Forces Beyond our Control’ Killed Protestors at Lekki Toll Gate – Nigerian Gov’t Releases Laughable Statement

The Lagos State Government has released a laughable statement in response to the massacre carried out Tuesday night in Lekki, Lagos which left several protestors dead.

According to a statement from the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the shooting was carried out by ‘forces beyond our control’.

The ‘EndSARS’ protests got deadly Tuesday as protestors defied a government curfew to continue their protests.

In response, state operatives invaded the venue of one of the protests, the Lekki Toll Gate, and indiscriminately opened fire on unarmed protestors.

This led to several protestors being killed.

That exploded the fury of Nigerians online but the government kept mute until this morning, when the Lagos State governor released his frankly idiotic statement.

He wrote on Twitter: “This is the toughest night of our lives as forces beyond our direct control have moved to make dark notes in our history, but we will face it and come out stronger. I’ve just concluded visits to hospitals with victims of this unfortunate shooting incident at Lekki,”

So the governor claims the state is not responsible for the massacre – they kill people and then claim they have no idea about it.

This is a new low and changes must occur at high places in Nigeria because these protests are not ending anytime soon! They just got louder.
