James Nana Womba, main suspect in the murder of Legon lecturer, Professor Yaw Benneh has died. He was 26-years-old.

Many news portals confirmed that James Womba died on Saturday at the Police Hospital in Acrra. He was rushed to the Hospital where he was admitted to the intensive care unit but he died on the same day. It is reported that he has been sick and was on Oxygen support at the hospital.

James Womba was a cleaner in the house of the deceased professor and confessed to his involvement in the murder of the Legon lecturer. He also named other suspects linked to the murder.

It still remains unclear the effect his death will have on the investigation into the murder of Prof. Benneh since he was key suspect in the case.
